The Nurturing Programme (Parenting Puzzle) at Dovers Green Children's Centre 7:30-9:30pm
Parenting Puzzle
A ten week course for parents and carers of children of any age. Starting on Monday 17 September, with a break during half term on 22 Oct. 
We all want family life to be happy and loving, but sometimes things can get in the way. It can be hard to see a way to get back on track and re-discover the fun and comfort of family life. The Nurturing Programme can help. Call us to book a place. Numbers are limited to about 12 and the course costs £20 which includes the Parenting Puzzle course handbook.  
Play & Learn  9.30am - 11.00am  every week including Easter & Sumnmer school holidays. 
(If you live in our allocated postcode area you may book your place from 9.00 - 9.30am. If you have booked but not arrived by 9.45am we may give your place away to anybody waiting. Stay and PlayDrop in to our friendly, interactive play session for under 5’s. Includes refreshments, messy play, circle time and lots of other fun activities, both indoors and outdoors, for you to share with your children! We are not able to admit children over 5 years old, including during the holidays.
We ask for a donation of £1 per family. Please note that numbers are limited and you are responsible for your own children at all times here.
Baby Massage  1.30 - 2.30pm 
Join one of our four week courses, teaching you all you need to know about baby massage. Great for relaxation, bonding and communication. You will need to bring along a large towel to each session. We recommend that your baby is around 10 - 12 weeks old and not yet rolling. To book you and your baby a place, call the centre. Next courses start on 10 July, 4 Sept.
A contribution is requested of £10 for the whole course. 
Includes refreshments. 
Baby Cafe  Term time only. 10.00am-12.00pm. 
During August this will be held at The Red Oak CC in Merstham.
This drop in session offers breastfeeding support and is held here at Dovers Green Children's Centre.  Tel: 01737 223621. You are welcome to drop in at any time, but please arrive by 11.45am if you wish to speak to a counsellor. You may bring your partner too. There is comfortable seating and play areas for accompanying toddlers. It is relaxed and informal and there are specially trained staff who will give one-to-one help and of course tea and cake!

Twins at Play (TAP) for multiples and their siblings from 0-5 years.
'Chatter Matters'  9.30-10.30am  
A 5 week course startingin September 2018 encouraging  your child to develop their communication skills in a small group, through play, stories and songs.
This is aimed at children aged 2.5 years to School age who need extra help with communication or who are awaiting a speech and language referral.

Baby Signing (With Love & Cuddles) 11.00 - 11.30am 
A five week course teaching you and your baby the best and easiest way to communicate with each other. A fun session of songs and signs, plus your own CD, so that you can  practise at home. Suitable for babies from about 6 months old. A contribution is requested of £10 for the course. 
To book you and your baby a place, call the centre.  Next course starts in September 2018.
Learn the basic baby signs to enable your baby to communicate their needs and to promote speech.
Introducing Family Foods (Weaning)  12.00-2.00pm
Run every month by our First Community Health and Care Team

Child Development Talk  12.00 - 1.00pm
Find out from a paediatric physio what "normal" development is expected. Get tips and advice on how to help your child progress physically and stay safe in the home and to discuss any concerns.

Parenting Puzzle
Dovers Green School Coffee Morning 8.45-9.45am (term time only)
A chance for Dovers Green School mums to get together for a chat over a cup of coffee, while the little ones play in the centre.
Information and advice is always available from our staff.

Two music and singing sessions. 

£2.50 per child
10am-10.40am - for children 18 months to 3 years
10.50am-11.30am - for babies under 18 months
Paediatric First Aid  10.00am - 12.00pm               
A two hour first aid talk for parents run by St John Ambulance.
A donation of £5 per person is requested.

Parentcraft Ante-Natal Session  10.00am - 2.00pm
Run by our local Community Midwife Team.
Contact your midwife to book you and your partner a place.

We do ask some of our groups for a small financial contribution, which helps towards the cost of refreshments, snacks and craft activities. All Sure Start services are free for families on Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Disability Living Allowance. Please advise us when booking or using the Centre.

Families can choose to attend any local Children's Centre. However, during our very busy drop in activities, we give admission priority to families living in our designated postcode area. Families living outside our area will be allocated spaces on a first come first served basis.

Childminders and professional home based carers will not be permitted to attend any activities unless they have at least one of their own children in attendance and live in our postcode area.

Please note - Parents and carers are responsible for and must supervise their children at all times whilst in the centre, or while participating in any Children's Centre activity.
